Northeast Region : Code of Conduct for Wind Farm Development in New York

Horizon Wind Energy LLC, a leading wind project developer, owner and operator, owned by EDP Renováveis, has signed a voluntary Code of Conduct Agreement with Attorney General of the State of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo.  The Code of Conduct promotes transparency and ethical business conduct in wind power development in the State of New York by clarifying rules for avoiding conflicts of interest for elected officials and the wind energy companies in New York. Horizon, along with other major wind energy companies and the Alliance for Clean Energy of New York (“ACE NY”), worked closely with the New York State Office of Attorney General to develop the Code. Horizon looks forward to cooperating with the Advisory Task Force established under the Code while continuing to provide and develop renewable energy sources for the benefit of the residents of the State of New York.

For a listing of any financial interests held by a Municipal Officer or a Relative of a Municipal Officer in any property identified for the Company’s Wind Farm Development during the  six years prior to the execution of the Code of Conduct, please click here.

 

Any misconduct, violation of the law or corruption of any sort in connection with wind farm development in the State of New York or violation of the Code of Conduct for Wind Farm Development in New York should be reported to the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York by calling the public integrity hotline below and should be reported to the General Counsel at Horizon Wind Energy.
